About the Item

A colorful pair of large octagonal faceted tin glazed Delftware jars with flared and domed lids surmounted by lion figures. Each side is thoroughly decorated with hand painted traditional floral and ornamental designs based on earlier 18th century models. Unidentified hand painted maker’s marks on the bottom of each. 20th century. Slight variation between the two. In good condition, one with crazing to the lid and the other with a shallow repair to the lid and a few frits. H: 20 Diameter: 9
