Edo period, underglaze blue. Sharing with you this unsual type of Jar with lid. With a beautifully painted Phoenix scene. The porcelain is a bit more bright than we usually see on these pieces, very interesting. Storage box included. Additional information: Material: Porcelain & Pottery Region of Origin: Japan Period: 17th century Japan Dynasty Period: Edo Period (1603–1867) Japanese Style: Arita Condition: Jar with small flint to rim and hairline selection in base.
