About the Item

Eden — sculpture Eden is a Kinetic sculpture, composed by small floating vases that celebrate natural beauty and balance. Materials: handcrafted solid brass with satin finish, borosilicate glass Dimensions: 75 x 35 x 10 cm The project is inspired by the delicate harmony found in nature, where each part needs of the other in order to be balanced. The pieces are constructed of glass tubes and handcrafted solid brass components. The weight comes form a raw piece of marble in the base. The lightness of these simple elements highlights the beauty of the flowers and leaves, which truly complete the design. Gently swinging by air currents, Eden becomes a gracious presence in a room. This work is born from a reflection on the necessity of design to create thoughtful pieces that interact with us and our environment, losing the superfluous, searching to bring joy through essential elements. Agustina Bottoni Agustina Bottoni is an independent Argentinian designer based in Milan. She works for companies, private clients and self-productions of objects, textiles and furniture. Graduated at the University of Buenos Aires, and after years of working in the fashion industry, she transferred to Milan, graduating with honors of the MA in product design at the Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti. Following, she collaborated with design studios in Italy and the Netherlands before dedicating since 2015 to her independent design practice. Exploring the language of everyday objects, these projects tell stories through a gentle use of shape. Agustina’s multicultural experience influences the research of different materials and techniques. They also encourage an emotional perception, considering objects as companions in our lives. Gaia Vase by Arturo Erbsman
By Arturo Erbsman
Located in Geneve, CH
Gaia vase by Arturo Erbsman The name GAIA expresses its origin - 'from the earth' and is inspired by the earliest form of Japanese Ikebana style called Tatehana, or “standing flowers”. GAIA is a contemporary shallow vase designed to receive one or several single stem flowers in a unique arrangement. Carefully sculpted in a capsule shape from a single block of soft pink onyx, it is also available in Carrara marble. The vase comes with eleven holes that differ in diameter and has superficial chambers for each stem. Focusing on shape and line, simplicity and nature GAIA is an exquisite centerpiece for your everyday rituals. Due to their natural origin (onyx and marble), variations may exist and are to be embraced, making each vase truly one of a kind. Materials: Pink onyx. Also available in Carrara marble Dimensions: W36 x D10 x H4 cm Arturo Erbsman is a French designer whose works reflect different points of intersection between manufactured objects and the four elements of nature. He focuses on showing the delicacy of distinct aspects of water like ice, snow, stalactites, condensation and vapor in his handmade lighting objects. He derives his source of inspiration from his faraway travels and from closely observing natural phenomena of everyday life.
