Wolfers:
Brussels silversmith company. From 1897 until production ceased in 1974, the name Wolfers frères was retained. The management of the company in Brussels was successively in the hands of Philippe Wolfers (until 1929), Marcel Wolfers (until approximately 1946-1947) and Freddy Wolfers. Wolfers Frères, together with Delheid Frères, was the largest producer of civil silverware in Belgium from the end of the 19th century until the 1970s. In addition to the many pieces in neo-styles, their Art Nouveau and Art Deco pieces designed by Philippe and Marcel Wolfers are particularly well known. The silverware was distributed through an extensive network of prestigious houses, such as Anthony (Antwerp), Bourdon (Ghent), Hardy (Liège), Begeer (Utrecht), Bonebakker (Amsterdam), Cartier (Paris), Goldschmidt (Cologne), Krischer (Düsseldorf). ) and Keyser (Leipzig), sold both at home and abroad.
