Rare Very Fine Tiffany Studios Classical Roman Style Urn. Made in approximately 1908 as part of their “From the Antique” series. The series number is S113 and 1609 is marked on the bottom. The piece is solid bronze and has a dark rich brown color characteristic of the material. It measures 3.75 inches tall and 4.5 inches across. Tiffany Studios, founded by Louis Comfort Tiffany in 1885, was a decorative arts company renowned for its stained glass windows, lamps, mosaics, and luxury items, operating under various names before settling on Tiffany Studios in 1902 and closing in 1932.
