About the Item

Created in 2022, Abside is the work of collaboration between Fabien Barrero and Atelier George. The Abside vase is composed of a crown of solid bronze arches. The amber glass part is blown in the structure itself. On the top, there's a colorless blown glass containing a sphere of dense and colorless ribbed amber glass. Atelier George The two designers and glassblowers, Eve and Laurent, have been working together since 2012. Their work consists of editing glass tiles, lighting and decorative objects. Originally trained as a designer, Eve grew up and studied in Paris. After having completed a bachelor’s degree at the Boulle School and a cycle of graduate studies at ENSCI-Les Ateliers, she decided to learn various glass-making techniques. In particular, she chose glass blowing, in order to give a concrete form to some of his ideas. In June 2018, Eve George received the Prize for Young Art Creation, a French national award for young artisans. That same year, she was also a finalist for the Grand Prix de la Création (Paris, France) and the International Competition for Artistic Creation and Design (Milan, Italy). Her work has been featured in various contemporary glass exhibitions in France and Europe, as well as at Dubai Design Week and the Jeunes Marchands show at Sotheby’s Paris. Fabien Barrero - Carsenat Through his various projects, Fabien Barrero-Carsenat likes to honor the material, which takes the first place in all of his production. He also wants to take care of each stage of production of an object himself: “My interest was to be able to master from the first stroke of the pencil until the manufacture of the object, to be able to do myself. even my bronzes, manage my recipes for metal, alloy, to be able to make my own hollows and to be able to achieve a certain autonomy by also upgrading materials such as tin and copper which come from rebus of objects from the contemporary society". "The idea that I have when I draw a piece, only has a projection of what the material can offer me afterwards". Anne Jacquemin Sablon Gallery The Anne Jacquemin Sablon gallery opened its doors to the public in 2015. It is a space dedicated to design and contemporary applied arts. It presents a collection of furniture, lighting, accessories and works of art. The gallery is located in a unique and historic space, initially a fashion boutique from the 1920’s. Today, renovated to accommodate artists, designers and interior architects. As, it is a space that meets the art requirements and clients needs who have a particular interest in applied arts and contemporary design. Indeed, most of the pieces are designed by French architects such as Tristan Auer, Thierry Lemaire and Maxime Old. Also by emerging artists from the French scene, for example Denis Perrollaz and Vadim Garine. Each piece of furniture represented by the gallery is made in French workshops in search of perfection. The gallery strives to offer exclusive services to its customers. Services such as the possibility of having the pieces customized or having them made on specific measurements.
