About the Item
These Aloca Aluminum vases were created as a part of the Alcoa Design Forecast in 1959, a project by Alcoa to bring aluminum to the forefront of Design at the time. Utilizing new techniques and methods, many pieces were designed by celebrated artists and designers such as the Prismatic Table by Isamu Noguchi.
These vases were created from a single disk of aluminum and extruded through a mould to create the ribbed surface.
