About the Item

Beautiful antique vase by the french sculptor Eugène Lelièvre (March 13th 1856 - January 24th 1945). Exceptional silver plated bronze work. The top of the vase is depicted as a flower with beautifully executed petals. Around the vase are plain floral vines and leaves. Signed by the artist at the side " Lelièvre". From this French sculptor the Susse foundry released mainly clocks and bonbonnieres, such as this vase in a special order. Stamped at the bottom "COPYRIGHT BY SUSSE FRES" " G". A gilded bronze vide-poche decorated with a cabbage leaf and a hare, as well as a bronze statuette depicting a Pekinese making himself beautiful, were sold in the 1980s through the prestigious and high-end Parisian auction house "Hotel Drouot". An antique vase that also fits perfectly in a modern household.
