About the Item

An early 20th-century Art Nouveau enameled cameo glass vase by Leune, inspired by the renowned works of the Daum brothers in Nancy, France. This vase is decorated with a winter landscape featuring pine trees, naturalistic details, and a house with a smoking chimney. This Art Nouveau vase piece showcases the delicate craftsmanship typical of the École de Nancy, where natural forms and flowing lines defined a generation of decorative artistry. The vase features subtle, layered glasswork with enameled surface decoration, demonstrating the influence of Daum’s pioneering acid-etched and cameo glass techniques. Leune, known for producing licensed pieces of the Daum brothers, this piece is a Daum inspired piece. Signed “Leune” on the side, the vase is attributed to the Société Anonyme des Établissements Leune, located on Rue Cardinal Lemoine in Paris.
