Danish Midcentury Vase Organic Shape by L. Hjorth Ceramic Eva Sjögren Attributed

About the Item

Ceramic vase with organic shape from the Danish ceramic studio L. Hjorth. The design is most likely by Eva Sjögren (1930-2019). Made ca 1950s. It has a beautiful beige and brown glaze with speckles and a bit pale blue near bottom. Eva Sjögren was a Swedish ceramist. She stayed at L. Hjorth ceramic workshop from 1950 to 1951. From 1955 she had a studio in Stockholm together with her husband sculptor Christer Sjögren. Fully marked on bottom: L Hjorth Denmark stag symbol and N. Measurements Height: 17,8 cm (7.01") Diameter top: 12,5 cm (4.92") Diameter bottom: 7,5 cm (2.95").
