Dino Martens Rare "Iradato" Aureliano Toso Bowl, circa 1950

From the 'Sea Shell' series of abstract bowls influenced by natural shell forms, designed by Flavio Poli and executed by Seguso Vetri d'Arts, Murano.

Rare bowl by the famous Bauhaus educated potter Marguerite Friedlander Wildenhain. Made in Holland during her 7 years in Putten, Holland (1933-1940) before immigrating to the United States and setting up her pond farm pottery.

A beautiful bowl very much in Bauhaus aesthetic. Glazed white interior and exterior in 'gun metal'. Signed 'Wildenhain', could possibly mean Marguerite (Friedlander) as well.

Aureliano Toso (attr.) Murano Art Glass Bowl, 1950s A Murano glass bowl most probably manufactured by Vetreria Aureliano Toso and designed by Dino Martens circa 1950s. Blue transparent glass with mulitcoloured glass and silver foil inclusions. Coming from a family of Murano glassmakers, Aureliano Toso founded his own company in 1938. The collaboration with the painter and artist Dino Martens already showed the first successes at the XXIII Biennale di Venezia.
