About the Item

A striking early 20th-century iridescent art glass vase, attributed to Loetz, the renowned Bohemian glassworks known for its highly distinctive surface treatments and forms. Though unsigned — which is not uncommon for Loetz pieces — the shape, marbled decor, and rich iridescent finish are strongly indicative of Loetz production, particularly in the Phänomen Genre tradition. The surface is decorated with flowing flame-like pulled trails in hues of amethyst, green, ivory, and ruby over a shimmering ground, creating depth and movement. The shape is elegant and sculptural, with a slender flaring neck rising from a rounded, squat body — a form typical of Loetz' Jugendstil output circa 1900–1910. In very fine condition, with no chips or cracks. A refined and authentic example of early 20th-century Bohemian art glass.
