About the Item

An impressive and extremely decorative French 19th century Louis XVI st. Vert de Patricia marble and Ormolu three piece garniture set. The pair of outer vases are raised by a mottled square base with an Ormolu twisted ribbon band. Above is the urn with a richly chased Ormolu mount supporting the urn in the design of acanthus leaves. Above are the 'C' shaped handles adorned with beautiful oak leaf branches. The lid with an acorn finial is resting on a pierced foliate designed rim. The central urn is raised on a square Ormolu pedestal below the circular mottled marble socle. The urn above has a recessed carved band which is decorated by a richly chased pierced Ormolu band with foliate scrolls and a central reserve. The urn is also decorated by handsome Ormolu rams heads at each side. Above is the marble lid resting on mottled rims and having berried Ormolu finials surrounded by oak leaves.
