Vase with decoration in frosted glass internally suffused with beige and green at the base and etched and cut with deep red and green/brown flower leafs cameo signed "Galle," circa 1904-1918.

Émile Gallé was a French glass maker and furniture designer based in his hometown. His favorite motif, which he used a lot in his work, was the plant. There were also many insect motifs. Gallé was probably the greatest glass maker of all time and one of the founding father's of the Art Nouveau movement.
