Italian Carved And Gilded Wood finials 1800s, set of four vases on hexagonal plinth with vegetal pastille carving frames, set of four turned and carved linden wood vases in the round with original fine gold leaf gilding on red bole preparation. Originally these four gilded finials decorated the end of a canopy or balustrades, but they are ancient decorative elements that lend themselves well as bases for making unique table, study or bedside lamps. This set of four antique gilded vases is from northern Italy and is in good condition, with minimal defects consistent with dating.
For the export of any antique Italian object, we must apply for a government export license, the so-called Belle Arti, the issuance of which takes at least two weeks, to be added to the shipping time.
