An early modernist vase. Produced by Upsala-Ekeby, Sweden, 1940s. Stoneware or earthenware. Designed by Harald Östergren (1888-1974)
A beautiful vase satin beige outer glaze, amphora shaped, double handles glazed in glossy black.
Marked EKEBY and form number to the bottom. Excellent condition.
Dimensions:
diameter 13 cm, height 17 cm, width with handles 16 cm.
Other designers of the period include Ettore Sottsass, Carl Harry Stålhane, Lisa Larsson, Axel Salto, and Arne Bang.
