About the Item

This absolutely enormous antique blue opalescent swirled trumpet vase is unsigned but presumed to have been made in the United States in circa 1890 in the period Victorian style. This handcrafted floor standing trumpet vase stands almost four feet in height and has a very well machined brass threaded coupler holding the art glass base to the top portion of the vase. The glass itself is blue opalescent with white stripes that run down the stem in a linear fashion and are slightly swirled at the top with a ruffled edge. The base uses the same glass and is formed in a heavy solid glass base with a slight swirl which accents the top. Both the base and upper portion are securely molded into the brass threaded coupler which secures the two components together. There is a "54" impressed on the coupler which is the only markings found anywhere on this impressive and substantial antique art glass vase.
