Ilse Claesson (1907–1999) was a Swedish ceramicist and designer, best known for her work at Rörstrand during the 1930s and 1940s. She joined Rörstrand in 1934 and remained with the company until 1948. During this period, she created both functional ceramics and unique art pieces, characterized by elegant, modern forms. Her designs reflect a clean, functional aesthetic with subdued colors and clear lines. Claesson played a key role in the modernist movement within Swedish design and helped revitalize Rörstrand’s collections during the interwar years.
