Japanese Antique Large Pottery Vase 14-16th Century / Flower Vase Wabisabi

About the Item

This is a very old and large Japanese pottery. It is called Tokoname-yaki. This pottery was made from the 14th to 16th century. The distorted shape is very unique. It is very beautiful from any angle. It is stable and stands firm. Very fortunately, this jar is in beautiful condition with no cracks. It is a one-of-a-kind item that you will never find again. Please note that it cannot be filled with water. It weighs 21.5 kg. Since ancient times, people have created and inherited necessary tools from familiar materials to survive in the severe struggle against nature, and have nurtured a lifestyle culture. Over the years, the tools have acquired a rich flavor and reflect the way of life. The harsher the natural environment, the weaker the human being, the stronger the power of tools. In today's world, where cheap and disposable products are encouraged, the act of repeatedly modifying and re-creating the things around us opens up a new world. With this philosophy in mind, we carefully select and collect beautiful and powerful one-of-a-kind Japanese antiques.
