About the Item

By Luigi Mandruzzato – who was Alessandro Mandruzzato's grandfather, who then later took over the family business. So Luigi was the original artist in the family indeed! Rare and absolutely stunning piece, as the top and bottom are 5 (!) sided (pentagonal). This creates honeycomb like sides. Large Venetian Murano Sommerso art glass, faceted heavy vase with a brilliant blue and a golden yellow glow. Original from the 1950s to 1960s, Italy, Murano. Gorgeous cut glass in an intricate faceted shape, heavy and in wonderful colours. A true masterpiece.
