This mid-century modern west Germany Scheurich fat lava vase, standing 22 cm high, is a stunning example of mid-century modern design. Stamped underneath with "200-22 W. Germany," it belongs to the Scheurich series number 200-22 from the fat lava era. The vase features a beautiful orange and brown banded glaze. The upper part, including the mouth and shoulder, is a vibrant orange, which gradually blends into a rich dark chocolate brown further down. This color transition highlights the unique aesthetic of the fat lava style, making it a striking decorative piece. Strong colors and lava-type glazes were typical for Scheurich during the 1960-70’s. this ceramic vase from W. Germany, model 414-16, is a mesmerizing piece of artistry that captivates the eye with its hypnotic glaze. ABOUT SCHEURICH Scheurich was established by Alois Scheurich and Fridolin Greulich for glass and porcelain in 1928. In 1954 Scheurich KG Keramikfabrik commences production of ceramics with the first electrical tunnel kiln.
