An exquisite and rare pair of early 19th century Old Paris porcelain vases, richly adorned with opulent gilt detailing and finely executed hand-painted portraits, exemplifying the height of French porcelain artistry from the period.
Each vase features a beautifully painted portrait of a lady in elegant period attire, rendered in soft, romantic hues of pink, lavender, yellow, and ivory against a crisp white ground. Above each portrait rests a delicately sculpted pink porcelain bow, adding a unique and charming decorative element.
The vases are distinguished by their unusual bell-shaped bodies, supported by a semi-oval footed base resting on four scrolling feet. Tassel-shaped side handles further accentuate the highly decorative form, while the surface is generously embellished with elaborate gilt floral and foliate motifs, typical of the luxurious Old Paris style.
Highly versatile, these pieces can serve as decorative vases or standalone objets d'art, making an impressive statement in both classic and eclectic interiors.
