About the Item

This magnificent pair of French porcelain vases, most likely produced in one of the renowned Parisian porcelain workshops of the 19th century, embodies the elegance and artistic refinement of the era. Crafted in fine porcelaine de Paris, each vase is meticulously hand-painted with vibrant floral garlands featuring roses, daisies, and wildflowers, rendered with exceptional delicacy and framed by a rich turquoise blue band around the base. The upper section is adorned with intricate gilt scrollwork, while the sculptural handles—formed as entwined branches with gilded leaves and buds—create a dramatic and ornamental silhouette. These dynamic handles extend from the rounded base to the flared neck, highlighting the technical mastery of the artisan. The reverse is decorated in a more restrained fashion, with delicate gold floral motifs on a white ground, providing visual balance and elegance. While one of the vases shows a minor historical restoration, the overall condition remains very good and the decorative impact is undiminished. Unmarked, as is often the case with porcelaine de Paris, these vases are stylistically close to the work of makers such as Jacob Petit or Samson, circa 1850–1870. A bold and beautiful pair for any mantel, console, or fine porcelain collection.
