Pair of French 19th Century Louis XVI Style Ormolu and Cobalt Blue Glass Vases
About the Item
An elegant pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. ormolu and cobalt blue glass vases. Each vase is raised by a lovely ormolu base with a fine berried laurel band and a lovely interlocking guilloche design. The baluster shaped cobalt blue glass bodies display very attractive pierced ormolu medallions with beautiful lattice designs framed within charming tied bows. Intricate and most decorative bands extend around the vases while the top rims display elegant tied reeded bands. All original gilt throughout.
