Raku Pottery Vase from NW Raku Gallery

About the Item

This raku pottery vase from NW Raku Gallery is a stunning addition to any traditional or modern décor, such as art deco, mid-century modern, or farmhouse style. This raku pottery vase was made by the Navajo People in the Northwest United States and combines traditional techniques with the raku process. This vase has a beautiful iridescent copper glaze with a floral motif. While copper and gold are the primary colours, the vase also reflects purple and blue as secondary colours. The glaze on this vase reflects the light, giving off a bright copper glow, and the iridescence and design accents provide a delight to the eyes. The pottery is textured, and on the unglazed bottom, it is the colour of light charcoal, covered by a foam pad to protect furniture with the original NW Gallery sticker. Some areas of the outer sides of the bowl are also rough and sometimes pitted. The vase is 4.5 inches wide and 6.5 inches tall and tapers toward the top, curving in to narrow lipped opening. This beautiful raku pottery vase is perfect for a dried flower arrangement or as a simply stunning decor piece on its own. The vase is in very fine condition.
