Scandinavian modern vase in brass "Kunga-Vasen" (King Vase) from Ystad Metall.
This model was designed in 1930's and got it's name "King Vase" in 1935 when King of Sweden, Gustav V bought himself a vase. This particular vase is most possibly from the late 1940's.
Signed with maker's mark.
Condition: wear consistent with age and use. Scratches, marks and a smaller dent, as seen on the pictures.

ABOUT GUNNAR ANDER
Gunnar Ander (1908–1976) was a Swedish designer known for his artistic talent and significant contributions to Scandinavian design. Born in Lidköping, Ander showed early promise, illustrating for a local newspaper as a teenager before studying at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm.
In the late 1940s or early 1950s, he joined Ystad-Metall, where he created some of the company’s most iconic designs, particularly his brass candle holders, which remain highly sought after today. Ander also worked for Lindshammar Glassworks and was a key designer at Scandia Present...
