A rare and beautiful nearly 300 year old Edo period (1603-1868) Japanese Seto ware glazed ceramic bottleneck wine bottle / vase. circa 1750 Hand-crafted by a highly skilled artisan in the 18th century at one of the "Six Ancient Kilns of Japan" located in the city of Seto in Aichi Prefecture. The antique vessel having a tapering bulbous body with elongated neck Attractive green striped pattern makes for a wonderful decorative object or accent piece, bringing the design elements color, texture, shape and form, this remarkable example is sure to add sophisticated elegance, romantic warmth, cultural interest and rich historical depth to any space! Dimensions (approx) 12" Tall x 6.25" Diameter (30.5 x 15.9 cm) Condition Report: Excellent original antique condition with beautifully aged warm patina. Presents well, with desirable crazing and skips inherent to glaze.
