About the Item
A stunning studio pottery oatmeal glazed vase by renowned Cambridgeshire based potter Sonia Lewis acquired from a large collection and believed to date from the latter 20th century. This finely potted stoneware vase stands on a wide round unglazed flat foot and is of wide round bulbous shape with the body of the vase segmented by incised ridges repeated around the body. The vase has a wide raised funnel shaped opening and is decorated in streaked oatmeal glazes with darker contrasting elements of pattern. The vase has an impressed artists seal mark to the base along with an exhibition label. Sonia Lewis with seal mark.
Provenance: Acquired from a large private collection and acquired in the UK Art Market.
