About the Item

Upside Down Head Vase by Di Fretto Dimensions: W 23 x D 16 x H 25 cm Materials: White Faience (not glazed / glazed inside only) The upside down vase is sculpted in raw white earthenware. Aurélie Fretti, exploration and sculpture DiFretto was born in 2019 when Aurélie Fretti created her first ceramic piece. She did not follow academic training but she explores her sensitivity for form and for living things, to which she is increasingly close, installed in the heart of the forest with her animals. nature quickly takes away the concerns of the city and frees its creativity. She then explored different plastic arts, and chance put ceramics on her path. It is her work with tailors and sculptors that takes her out of the world of ceramics and into that of sculpture. Outside traditional circuits Freed from the traditional circuits of art or design, DiFretto pieces are all unique and handmade. sensual and brutal pieces, objects that we take the time to desire. hand-sculpted, modeled, dried and fired in the DiFretto workshop by aurélie herself, the pieces are curved and irregular. They are the reflection of an imagination turned towards the living and the earth. Cause an Emotion A creative and identity adventure, which creates a bridge between art and crafts, decoration and design. Each of the pieces in his collection are always intended to be useful when the sculpture becomes a vase, but they can also just “be there” and provoke an emotion.
