Venini bottle from the Morandiane series

About the Item

Venini Morandi series bottle i.e. inspired by the paintings of painter Giorgio Morandi who made the bottles the distinctive image of his works. The Bottiglie Morandiane series was conceived in 1956 by the lawyer Paolo Venini and designed with the help of the great master architect Gio Ponti The bottle is obviously made of Murano glass and was made for the Venini company founded by Paolo Venini in 1921 together with antiquarian Giovanni Cappelin. The technique used to make this Venini bottle is the Canne technique, alternating blues and greens. The bottle is signed at the base "Venini" and is dated 1988. This wonderful example of an elegant and refined decorative object is perfect and intact in every part, without any kind of breakage as you can see from the photos. The cap is original to the bottle and has not been changed over time.
