Vintage R & Y Augousti Solid Bronze Vase with Pen Shell Inlays in Red and Black

Large organic modern vase handcrafted in solid bronze metal with inlays of exotic pen shell. Heavy-set oval frame in textured bronze features a series of hammered circles reminiscent of reptile or snake scales. The mosaic centers on either side of the vase have unique geometric inlays made of lacquered pen-shell in hues of red and black. Signed R&Y Augousti on underside. Rare vintage find as this series is no longer in production.
