The underside of the jar and vase bear stamped and hand-painted manufacturer marks and retain their original Rosenthal-Netter paper labels. The lidded jar measures 16.5" tall with the lid, 5.5" wide at the base and 4.5" across at the mouth. The vase stands 8.5" tall, 6.5" at its widest point and 4.375" across at the mouth and foot. Introduce elegance at supper with silver, such as a platter from celebrated Massachusetts silversmith manufacturer Reed and Barton or a regal copper-finish flatware set designed by International Silver Company, another New England company that was incorporated in Meriden, Connecticut, in 1898. By then, Meriden had already earned the nickname “Silver City” for its position as a major hub of silver manufacturing.
