Brutalist Emerald Green & Gold Alabaster Ashtray with Gold Leaf - Made in Italy

About the Item

A bright emerald green Italian alabaster ashtray or trinket dish. This piece has a Brutalist feel. It is round and hand-carved with an uneven "raw" finish to the sides. The stone is Italian alabaster, but really reminds us of malachite. It has great veining throughout. The top and center are finished and polished to a shine. The top is carved inward to hold pieces like earrings or to use as an ashtray. A gold metal rim lines the top of the dish and is topped with a heavy gold metal leaf. The bottom is flat and unpolished. And is stamped with a gold sticker that reads in red, "Alabastro Genuino, Lavorato a mano in Italia". This would be a great accent to a coffee table or for use on a dressing table or nightstand. Dimensions: 4.25" Diameter 1.75" Tall
