About the Item

Striking and heavy crystal ashtray made by the prestigious Belgian glassmaker Val Saint Lambert. This particular piece was a special commission for Texaco, featuring the original label and etched signature on the base. Produced in the 1960s, likely as a corporate gift or for inauguration events – a stylish collector's item from the golden age of the oil industry. The design reflects the sophisticated aesthetics of the time: bold, geometric, and sharply faceted – reminiscent of the luxurious interiors of the James Bond era. A must-have for collectors of vintage smoking accessories, crystal art, mid-century design, or petroleum memorabilia. Manufacturer: Val Saint Lambert, Belgium. Cut crystal. Circa 1960s Function: Reversible lid – serves as both ashtray and cove. Markings: Etched signature and original Texaco "Inauguration" label Condition: Very good vintage condition. A very small chip is present on the inside of the lid, barely noticeable but mentioned for accuracy.
