Vintage Chunky Ashtray in Natural Carved Rose Quartz with Organic Rough Edges
About the Item
Nature can create unique artwork, but when man also intervenes in the production process without exceeding with his work then the result can become great.
I love this piece of our collection precisely because it retains a perfect balance between the restless and raw charm of nature and the desire of man to discipline it.
A sculptural and Chunky Ashtray or Vide Poche made carefully carved from a block of a Rose Quartz, in a unique combination of natural roughness and polished surface.
Dating back to around the middle of the 20th century modern when in Italy it was in vogue to have decorative elements made of marble or various carved geodes on the coffee table.
This Vide Poche has a free form impossible to circumscribe, its original minerals are suggested by the organic rough edges.
The item is in good vintage condition with a beautiful patina.
