1920s French Green Glass Bar Set on Mirror Tray, Pineapple Bowl and Whisky Tap
About the Item
Antique French green glass and gilt bronze Hollywood Regency bar set on a mirror tray.
On the tray a pineapple lidded bowl and a whisky dispenser with tap.
Very pretty heavy set with a pineapple shaped lidded green glass bowl with gilt bronze leaves and trim.
A green lidded glass whisky dispenser with removable top on a glass and gilt bronze and glass foot. The tap or spigot opens and closes by turning the acorn handle on the tap. On the body of the dispenser gold painted floral accents and the word 'Whisky'. Pressed in the bottom: made in France.
Both are on an oval beveled mirror serving tray also adorned with gilt bronze flower and leaf ornaments.
The whisky dispenser holds +/- 2L whisky.
The Pineapple bowl probably used to be a cigar or cigarette holder, but would do great as ice-cube holder now.
The green glass parts are made of heavy and thick glass, still in mint condition, no chips, scratches or lines.

Very interesting early 20th Century Czech made taxidermy cow "Tur Domácí Bos Taurus" hind leg for classroom study, probably used at a University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
The leg is at least a hundred years old, you can see by the way it is fixed together (the curly iron thread) and the surface ware of the real bones, it is smooth and yellowish.
The iron and wood holder however is probably aded very recently (my guess is in the 80s 90s).
