Art Deco "Dynamic" Micarta Serving Tray by George Switzer for Westinghouse

About the Item

This serving tray is a pre-war icon and design masterpiece, designed by George Switzer (1890-1955) for Westinghouse in 1932. Bearing a geometric image of three staples of industrial machinery (a racing car, speed boat, and biplane plane), this particular tray entitled "Dynamic" is one of the most famous and covetted motifs in the series. Designed as an accessory to compliment the Holiday Line of products by Westinghouse, these trays have become admired and collected by some of the finest collectors and museums in the world.
