About the Item

This brilliant Art Deco Hand-Hammered Sterling Silver Cocktail Shaker is by Gorham and originates from the United States, Circa 1925. Feautures hand-hammered textural detailing throughout the piece with an elegant minimal handle and tapered body, with a beautifully designed and fabricated top mechanism with twist functionality to reveal openings from which to pour the contents of the shaker. The mouth of the shaker is formed beautifully, with a rounded lid sporting the same hand-hammered detailing as the body of the piece. Gorham Manufacturing Company was founded in 1831 in providence Rhode Island and is among the highest quality silver makers in the country, expanding their practice across multiple locations throughout their years of operation. This shaker will style beautifully in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Art Deco to Mid-Century and Contemporary Interiors. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
