About the Item

Edwardian-Style (made in the Art Deco Period), sterling silver mounted glass and leather flask having a hinged lid, Sheffield, England, James Dixon and Sons - makers. Retailed at Finnegans of London, Manchester and Liverpool. Measures 5 1/2 inches high x 3 1/4 inches wide x 1 inch deep. The cork inside the hinged lid is in good condition. Sterling silver on lower part of flask is removable so it becomes the flask's drinking cup. The inside of this cup has a gilded interior (see photos). Both sides of the leather covering the glass flask itself are cut through so that the amount of liquid remaining in the flask can easily be seen. Dark areas on sterling silver are reflections. In very good antique condition.
