(aka Culver Glass) was an American glass manufacturer. The company produced over 75 glassware patterns and is best known for its mid-century designs. Most of its glassware patterns feature a 22k gold foil overlay. The glassware was lavish and opulent cocktail-ware. Culver started the application of 22-karat gold to their glassware, a super-heated, roll-on process of gold, a process that remains a secret today. The designs ranged from geometric patterns and abstract motifs to nature-inspired themes like florals and animals. Glasses were commonly used for entertaining and special occasions, and they became particularly popular during the mid-century modern era. The company stopped producing its gold overlay pieces in the late 1980s and was sold to Moderne Glass Company in the mid-1990s. Because of Culver's unique designs and craftsmanship, their vintage glasses are highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts of mid-century glassware. Admired for their quality, attention to detail, and gold global design aesthetic.
