These pieces featured bold geometric shapes, vibrant color combinations, and playful patterns. There is a removable white plastic liner. Briard was inspired by the Memphis Group Art Movement, a design collective founded in Milan by Ettore Sottsass in 1981. The movement was known for a playful, pop-art inspired style using bold colors, geometric shapes, and kitschy patterns made of plastic laminates. The movement had a major impact, influencing pop culture, fashion, architecture. 7.5 inches Square. With the original labels on the bottom: Designed and Signed by Georges Briard, Made in Japan.
