Wonderful vintage Mid-Century Modern Galatix hand-made Burma teak tea service set of 6 glass inserts, 6 Burma teak cup vessels, and a Burma teak serving tray. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, Mid-20th Century. Just tea for two and two for tea, Just me for you and you for me…. Oh Doris Day, we know you would LOVE this fabulous Galatix hand-made Burma teak tea service!! We certainly do!! It is comprised of six teak cup vessels with wonderful coin shaped solid Burma teak handles with glass cup inserts and they all fit beautifully on a lovely Burma teak serving tray. We know that Galatix made many items including teak and pottery pieces for Marshall Fields but after extensive research we discovered limited information. No matter, we DO know that this set was hand-made in England and that Burma teak is extremely durable and absolutely gorgeous! This is the perfect serve ware for an afternoon gathering with friends whether serving tea and cookies or coffee and donuts. They would be fun at your next brunch filled with Irish coffee, spiced rum, or hard cider and they look phenomenal sitting empty on your bar top, kitchen counter, on a shelf in a China cabinet, or on the buffet in the dining area.
