Articulated Swan Silver Plate and Brass Centerpiece
About the Item
Sold cast brass silver-plate swan with articulated wings. When the wings are raised an oval shaped interior cup is revealed. The cup is removable. Finely cast detail from the feathers to the handling of the neck, eyes and bill. Previously used as a table center piece objet. Circa 1960.
Some silver plate loss from handling and cleaning. Base wear. The silver plate wear creates a nice contrast between the silver and the solid brass base metal.
