A pair of early, large sterling silver Georg Jensen five-light candelabra, design #224 by Johan Rohde, originally introduced in 1916. Each candelabrum features five elegant branches emerging from stylized leaves, with a striking finial of two intertwined fish resting upon a central sphere above a gracefully twisting bulb. The stem is adorned with horizontal beading and vertical lines overlaid with a Nordic-inspired pattern. These early examples exhibit an enormous amount of hand chasing, evident in their intricate and detailed craftsmanship. Dimensions: Height: 19 1/4" (49 cm) to the top of the finial Span: 13 3/4" (35 cm) Base Diameter: 7 7/8" (20 cm) Total Weight: 5446 grams (192 oz) Hallmarks: Georg Jensen hallmarks from 1925–1932.

A magnificent, fine and impressive, rare pair of antique Danish sterling silver two light Pomegranate pattern candelabra made by Georg Jensen; an addition to our ornamental silverware collection These magnificent and rare antique Danish cast sterling silver candelabra have a circular bulbous form, in the Pomegranate pattern. The surface of each exceptional example of antique silverware has a subtly planished finish. Each impressive two light candelabrum retains the original hallmarked scrolling arms, supporting two rounded organic-shaped baluster capitals with plain circular dished drip pans. The scrolling arms of each candelabra incorporate magnificent scrolling leaf and bead decoration, all in the Arts and Crafts style. The plain bulbous columns surmount a plain circular foot, accented with a petal decorated border to the junction. The bases of these magnificent cast candelabra are not weighted. The hallmarks struck to the underside and one of arm of each include: Maker's mark: Georg Jensen (these marks were used between 1925-1932) Designer's mark: GI (Georg Jensen) Silver quality/purity mark: Sterling, 925, S (925/1000) Country mark: Denmark Importer's mark: GS (Stockwell & Co (George Stockwell)) Import hallmark: London Import date mark: q (1931) Such examples struck with full London import hallmarks are rare to the market.
