About the Item
Contemporary handcrafted clay sculpture titled Sobretaula #1 by Catalan ceramic artist Rosa Cortiella. This one-of-a-kind centerpiece features an abstract rose-like form, made from grogged clay with a delicate balance between texture, color, and volume.
Part of Cortiella’s Sobretaula series, the piece explores the intersection between sculpture, functional object, and poetic gesture. With strong volumetric presence and refined craftsmanship, this ceramic sculpture serves as both a decorative element and a contemporary table sculpture.
Rosa Cortiella has been professionally dedicated to ceramics since 1988. Her multidisciplinary background spans sculpture, product design, and color research. She has developed limited series for haute cuisine and currently leads R&D at MUD Ceramics Factory, combining creative practice with teaching and curatorial work.
