- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. Minor structural damages. A slight blemish to the surface about 1 cm. above the flaming pearl (Image 4) and about 5mm. in diameter - this could be from the time of manufacture and is not easy to see. Otherwise good antique condition.

The box has a cylindrical shape, with its original lid and is all beautifully made with colored enamels set into a black ground. The main decoration to the body shows two 4-toed dragons chasing a flaming pearl. The lid shows another dragon set amongst clouds. The dragons have a gold colouring and other colours are used to give the detailed scene including red, green, blues, yellow and white. The lid also has lappet border patterns in blue to its edges.
