About the Item
This large and imposing Fielding’s Crown Devon vase and cover is a highly decorative piece from their top quality premium range which was made to retail in exclusive high end stores where they were luxury items. This example is decorated with a very rare design of a stunning grand garden from a large country house set in the moonlight. Overall, this superb ceramic vase is rich with eye catching colours and it is very well detailed. The decoration includes impressive stone urns full of bright flowers standing on either side of a central pathway with elegant topiary arches and turned stone balustrading. This fine example has a high lustre glaze with lots of bright raised hand enamelling which highlights the detail together with the fine gilt decoration. All in excellent original condition, Circa 1920
