About the Item
Delicate Goldscheider Art Déco Ceramic Figurine of the late 1930s:
Gracefully posing dancer in dark red costume: polka-dot bustier and short skirt at the front with long, wide, slit side panels at the back with large-scale floral decoration in white and black, holding them up backwards in a butterfly-like manner with outstretched arms and torso turned to the right.
On a black, slightly domed oval base.
Designed by Stephan DAKON (1904 - 1992), was one of the most important designers who worked for the Goldscheider manufactory from 1924 until the mid-fifties.
This Model 7996 was created circa 1937.
Made around 1938
