Goldscheider Vienna rarest lady figurine: The traveller with small suitcase. Possibly designed by Josef Lorenzl (1892-1950) or Stefan (= Stephen) Dakon (1904–1997). Lorenzl was one of the most important designers having been active for Goldscheider manufactory in period of 1920-1940. Both artists, Dakon and Lorenzl, were well-known Austrian sculptors and ceramics artists. They worked in close association with each other: They produced many exciting bronze figurine sculptures of the Art Deco period. Their models were used among others by members of the association of bronze producers "Wiener Bronzen" ("Vienna Bronze"), as well as by the famous ceramics manufacturer Goldscheider from Vienna. Both artists designed models for the Austrian ceramics manufacturer Keramos, too. Made circa 1936 Model number 7271 / 36 / 31 Hallmarked: Goldscheider WIEN (= VIENNA) stamp mark Made in Austria Painter's signs existing Subject: A figure of a slim lady with small suitcase: 'The Traveller' This rarest Goldscheider figurine is of finest quality (= nicest appearance !). The lady is slim as well as of remarkable beauty. The female figurine wearing so-said Basque beret is clad in elegant purple red shaded long mantle with girdle as it was modern in the 1930s. The walking lady carries a small suitcase / additionally, she holds a bag under her left arm. Size: Height: 28.0 cm (= 11.02 inches) Width: 6.0 cm (= 2.36 inches) Depth: 14.0 cm (= 5.51 inches) Please note: This figurine is so rare that it wasn't published by Monograph Book Written by Dechant & Goldscheider: Goldscheider (Firmengeschichte Und Werkverzeichnis / History Of The Company And Catalogue Of Works), Stuttgart (Germany), 2007!
