Scandinavian Modern Decorative Vide-Poche Bowl by Ludvig Kyhn, 1950s

About the Item

Scandinavian Modern Decorative Vide-Poche Bowl by Ludvig Kyhn, 1950s This elegant Scandinavian Modern decorative vide-poche bowl was designed and handmade by Danish ceramic artist Ludvig Kyhn in the 1950s. The bowl features a creamy glaze with relief lines and a hand-painted design depicting black birds and flora, including twigs and green leaves, all rendered in a refined and simple line. The green is echoed outside the black rim that frames the motif, appearing as a soft light green along the inner edge leading up to the ribbed border. A beautiful piece that showcases the artistry of Danish ceramics from the mid-20th century. Signed on the bottom: L. Kyhn and numbered 122. The bowl is in good vintage condition consistent with its age and wear, as shown in the photos. Dimensions: Diameter: 8.7 in (22 cm) Height: 1.7 in (4.2 cm)
